Sprint to Customers: You're Fired!

According to a WSJ article, Sprint told 1,000 subscribers to find another wireless carrier by the end of July.  The reason: these customers called Sprint 25 times per month - a rate 40 times higher than the typical customer.

Sprint has 53,000,000 customers, so 1,000 represents .0018% of its customer base.

It's probably tough for any business to satisfy 100% of its customers, so why not let the unhappy and unprofitable ones leave...or fire them?

Maybe they should have fired more...
